No matter what lifestyle we live, no matter how much money we have in our bank accounts, and no matter how old we are, we all need to track and task our day to day lives. Have you ever been out at a coffee shop with a friend and your chatting away and you get a phone call saying "This is Nelly from ABC Hairdressers, you had a 10am appointment and your late, would you like to reschedule? I have been in the above situation countless times and I know first hand the embarrassment when you attend your rescheduled appointment knowing that they know who you are and how they know someone else could have taken your place. There are a few options to talk about. - If you have an iPhone, set up calendar and enable it to sync with Outlook so that no matter what you do on your computer, you will have all your important information to stay up to date. - There is also a calendar on Android phones which can also sync with Outlook. - There is also Google Calendar which is what I personall

A company with a kind and compassionate heart. It takes great courage as someone with disabilities to contact a customer service line and ask for help. Many people hate the ques and the explaining of what's happening. HP have gone above and beyond to help with any problem I faced with hardware failure and I can honestly say after my 3rd HP product purchase that I will never ever buy or recommend a different brand.HP Customer service have gone above and beyond again and again to repair issues and have even had techs as part of the "HP Care package come to my house and fix the issue within 4 - 5 days. There have been many critics regarding the NDIS, both from a professional and participant point of view, and after all arguments considered, I can say that the NDIS is a great scheme to be a part of.  I have been on the NDIS for several years and I know both the heart ache that gathering the paperwork and doctor's reports requires but also the joy of receiving the “Welcome to the NDIS” official letter.  Once I started working with service providers and working on my goals, my life began to change in a big way. I began to have a reason to wake up, a reason to live and a reason to look to further hobbies and my pushing my business and saturate myself in it whilst enjoying life.  I can honestly say that life has never been better and yes, I still have a difficult day most every day, I can still get up and say hello to my cat and my bird and have that fresh coffee whilst planning my day.  If you have a disability and it keeps you from accessing the help you need, apply for the

Hi and welcome to the first of many emails. Sign up here so you don't miss a single thing! I wanted to touch on internet safety today as many people don't seem to have a clue about it and some may know a bit about the topic, but not enough to keep them safe online. KEEPING THE HOUSEHOLD SAFE ONLINE: From the aifs.gov.au webpage, it seems that children are highly exposed to porn, horrific images and more. See below "In Australia, just under half (44%) of children aged 9-16 surveyed had encountered sexual images in the last month. Of these, 16% had seen images of someone having sex and 17% of someone's genitals." These stats are absolutely horrific. I am saddened at the thought of this happening to children. MARRIAGES AND RELATIONSHIPS: Marriages and relationships are destroyed when the man or the women watches porn. This can happen when the husband or the wife can't get the intimacy they long for and as a result, they turn to porn or it could have
The reality is that at some point in our life, we will go through a hard time at least once. The fact is that all we must do to get through it is to just focus on your end goal... We all have a goal that we want to achieve mentally, however getting there can be super hard and at times it seems like we are getting nowhere. The fact is that a set back is still a step up because you had to walk to that position to start with to be able to make a step back. Its OK to have a hard time, and its OK to not know whats going on in your life... all you need to do is to look to the end goal and at that point when your fully focused on that goal, you will be able to see hope and truth. Id firstly like to honour and show respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and to acknowledge that the Australian land was, is and will always be theirs. NAIDOC week is a beautiful time of year. We celebrate together the wonderful achievements, history and culture of our Aboriginal people. NAIDOC Week 2021 From now until the 11th of July, lets celebrate together and you know what? even after the 11th of July, lets become one with our cultures. It's one thing to celebrate on to a calendar year, but why not celebrate forever together? Otherwise its like going to church on christmas day but forgetting Jesus and what he meant for the rest of the year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-tO9ANeLrk We are One Lets educate ourselves to become more understanding of the issues and problems that our Aboriginal people face and lets stamp out racism and encourage togetherness. Happy NAIDOC week 2021, Shane Bentley. https://bit.ly/3EjtBf3

In life, there are many ups and downs, strong times and weak times happy times and sad times. Self care can really help. I'm going to say something in a minute that will change your life forever... "It's all about you." We have to have the mindset sometimes when things get rough, that it's all about us. Not the mentality of "I am better than everyone" but the mindset that "I matter as well." Do you ever take the time to think about what you need? What you want to do? What do you want to eat? I guess what I am trying to get across is that sometimes a "me" day or week is important. Put in for some time off work if you have it available, and sit in front of the TV and don't worry about work or anyone apart from the immediate family. Self care is so important... I know for me with my mental health issues, I need to take about 6 hours a day just to be kind to myself because If I don't, I can get unwell. Please share w

Wellness, what is it and why do we need to stay well? According to Google, wellness is the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal."measures of a patient's progress toward wellness" Why do we need to be well? As humans, we rely on wellness to do our jobs, participate in our social circles, and live the best we can. How do we stay well? See this article first before reading on... One of the biggest aspects I have to focus on due to having a mental illness is staying well mentally. For me, sleep hygiene, eating healthy, exercise and medication all have the biggest impacts on me as well as trying to escape from my intrusive thoughts by fact checking and trying to not respond to triggers is hard, but it's possible. I have made a wellness plan (not complete for privacy reasons... see below. Please share with your friends and family... Shane Bentley. https://bit.ly/3EatqlZ

TRIGGER WARNING: Its hard... life has so many struggles and ups and downs that we can have the paradigm that life will never ever stabilize or improve. I personally spent a night in the ED this week as I tried to take my own life. I am still mentally recovering and I know for a fact that it will get better but the timeline seems to be stretched more than I can handle. When I stabbed myself in the hand, I was in the mind space of "I will never get through this anyway" but for some reason I called 000 and got the help I needed. It was difficult to say "I need help" but I did it and I am proud of myself for that. Now to my beautiful audience: NEVER do what I did, because I am saying npw that the day after, I felt like I had more energy and more ambition to do life and life to the fullest. Should you ever need help when your feeling like it's all too much, contact lifeline. They are so helpful and will create an action plan with you over the phone. Have
We all have our favorite coffee. Whether it be freshly brewed at a Café you know and love or you make it at home using the instant coffee of your choice, we all know what we love and most of us stick to it. For most of us, many times its the first thing we do as we wake up every day is make a coffee... HINT: Put the milk and coffee in first when you make it and add hot water last, you will thank me later! My personal choice is Nescafe Blend 43... Its smooth, low bitterness and tastes amazing. I don't mind the Nescafe Original (I get mine from Aldi) however I do find it has a slightly more bitter taste. Have a great day and enjoy the weekend coming up. Shane Bentley. https://bit.ly/3Faouiz
Online storage is 100% the new age USB device. Absolutely everything can be saved to the cloud like photographs, documents, files and folders, and even movies. Its a great way to store things because it makes it easily accessible to you and you can use the share feature and share things with friends and family like that Christmas "Who brings what" list. Google storage, iCloud storage and OneDrive are my favorite online file storage clouds and there are many more. You can even set your computer to automatically sync from your computer to the cloud and the other way. I do this with OneDrive. Its a good idea to get fast internet enabled at your address such as 50 download and 20 upload or more if you like fast NBN. Why not check out the links above and help secure your data online as well like I did and continue to do. https://bit.ly/3F2SlsX
When it comes to buying routers, laptops or anything in between, its important to know what you need vs what the staff say you want. Product comparison: Most tech products have a comparison chart (models and a checklist) where you can choose what you need vs what the next model up has. Above, we can see an example of a product comparison. This is my only tip for today regarding product comparison, however if you wanted to give another example or just say hello, feel free to do so by writing comment while your sharing with your friends on social media. Thanks again for your time, Shane Bentley. https://bit.ly/3IUUgT4
We protect our credit cards, our passwords and our houses, but how many people protect our computers with quality anti virus programs? Many people don't realize that online protection is imperative as hackers, spyware, and viruses are eagerly waiting to grab your information and sell it, use it to steal your identity and profile you. According to Google, 1 in 4 Australians have been a victim of identity fraud whilst 164 cybercrime reports are made daily to authorities. This is a huge concern to me and that's why I am writing this article to warn you to do the following things to assist (not ensure that you wont get hacked) but to ensure you have made it harder for people to hack your computer and/ or your identity. Top 6 things to help protect you. - Update your computer with the latest updates and security fixes. - Update the firmware on your modem. - Use antivirus. - I recommend this one. - Update all your apps/ programs. - Never post personal information online
When it comes to buying products online or in store, we all like a bargain, wouldnt you agree? What if I told you that you could get free software to download on your computer every night and all you need to do is activate the program as per the instructions. Giveaway of the day is a free global website where you can just click, extract, install and activate the program and its good to go. No keygens, no viruses... just pure goodness. Its not everyday that someone tells people this secret, so make sure you tell all your friends and loved ones by sharing this blog. Yours truely, Shane Bentley. https://bit.ly/3rZV2YB

Most of us have heard about Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. In fact, according to stats, 3.6 billion people use social media across the globe. I personally use it for running my business and chatting with friends and family, however everyone uses it for different things on a personalized level. What is I told you that there are some dark sides of social media/ What if I told you that social media can be used by online predators, scammers, lonely men or women wanting to use and abuse another or bullying? Bullying is what I wanted to talk about today. I know that many people graduate high school and do not see or are not the targets of bullying (lucky them) but, the fact is that many kids are bullied and even into their adulthood. I was one of the ones that look different, suffered low self-esteem and didn’t have many friends. I was bullied every single day at school from K-12 and never ever had a day where I felt comfortable in my own skin. What bullies do not understand is, t

What inspires me to live on? Life can be tough. We all have our own story and often it's our story that defines who we become. Often in life, we face challenges or difficulties but when we get through them and triumph over them, we come to an understanding that yes, its' a roller coaster of a ride but we can get through it and I can be a good influence to others as well. Things to do in the midst of trial or tribulation - Put some meditation on - Distract yourself - See the doctor regularly - Keep up with self-care - Eat healthy food - Write a poem or a short story - Colour in - Listen to music - Have a mental health day - Phone a friend of loves one I trust this blog will help you feel better about yourself. Telstra - It's what I love! Telstra is by far the best phone and ISP carrier I have ever used. I have been with a few different carriers over the past 10 to 15 years and Telstra kicks the goal of awesomeness every single time. From NBN connections to the latest mobile phones and even some gaming equipment, Telstra does it all. I feel that while Telstra charges somewhat more than other carriers, as their consumers, we get good bang for our buck including customer service which is amazing, great offers and a plan or product that's out of this world and also can vary one our budget and needs. Telstra Plus and my experiance Telstra Plus is simply amazing. For every dollar you spend on your Telstra account, you get back 1 point per every dollar and it can be redeemed once you get enough points for the item you want. I have recently received a new wireless keyboard and mouse and more through Telstra Plus and I recommend it to everybody. StarTrack deliver to your door and its simply a

Data Recovery Data Recovery is an important service. Most of us have things on an old hard drive somewhere that we would hate to lose. If the drive becomes inaccessible, for some reason, provided it still spins, I can grab the data from it. For $149, I can grab the data for you and put it on a hard drive that you supply. I can supply you a hard drive for an additional $90 on top of the $149 data recovery fee. The supplied (for an additional cost) hard drive is a 1 terabyte so if you have more data than 1TB, you will need to pay more than the said fee of $90 so that the data all fits on the drive.
