Firstly, I’d like to say happy new year to all and I trust that you all had something good happen over the holidays even if it’s just a one time thing. Here are some things I have been busy implementing into my business. SQUARE POS: I was running my business using just MYOB to take payments, however this meant that I wasn’t getting cash fast and had to rely on my clients to make the transaction and so I now do it using a SQUARE terminal which means quick cash and faster check I. And check outs. I also have a pay bill now button on the website for those occasions where a client might need a new hard drive and when they pay, I purchase it which also means more secure for me so that I don’t get stuck with an unwanted item if my customer changes their mind. I have also became a Shoalhaven Business Chamber partner which I believe is a positive step forward. Paper free: apart from the final invoices and associated documents, you won’t see much paper around as I am trying to stay gree
Apple Music is by far in my own personal opinion, the best music app that I have ever used. From the large library of music that can be found to the price in comparison and even the ease of use, I would highly recommend it to anyone... even to my enemies. Get 3 months of apple music for free. Until next time, have a good one! Shane Bentley. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/apple-music-its-what-i-like/
So you are in the lunchroom sitting with your coworkers and someone falls to the ground clutching their chest. You know the person may have had a heart attack and you check for a pulse and they are gone What do you do? Now, I'm, not a doctor or a nurse and have 0% experience in the medical field, however, I know that a defib may save this person's life. Is your workplace equipped with a defibrillator? If not, it might be time to consider if this scenario could happen in your workplace. Until next time, have a good one... Viruses and malware.... oh what a huge deal... They slow down your computer, can potentially steal your passwords to banks and other sites leaving you open for hacking, fraud and more and what a huge drama it is to try and get rid of them... Oh hang on, wait a minute... have you heard of FixMeStick? The most amazing antivirus tool known to man? For work, I use the pro version, but some of you out there will only need a home version. Why not purchase the FixMeStick for home users and see what's really on your machine? Until next time, Have a glorious weekend or week and day. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/fixmestick-virus-removal-tool/

We all like free software. wheather its acrobat reader, a free 90 day trial or even a computer update such as Windows 11, it always puts a smile on our faces. Bekow, I have given my amazing readers a link to a website that offers legitimate and free software daily for Windows, IOs and Android. So go out, spread the word and please let me know how you go! Welcome to the first official On Point Computer Repairs newsletter. Id like to talk about 2 things tech wise in this newsletter and i'd also like to talk a bit about my business in the last part of the newsletter. WINDOWS 11 Soon enough, there will be a free update for most users called "Windows 11" Windiows 11 has all new desktop backgrounds, a huge performance hit and also some security fixes and updates to help keep you safer online. I use it personally on my windows computer and love it. However there will, as with every new OS and even the older versions, bugs and what not. I reccomend holding off for another 1 to 2 months just to give mircosoft a chance to squash the said bugs and optimise it some more before updating. AntiVirus and Malware Protection So the common debate is this… is Microsoft’s in built Windows defender enough or do I need a paid product to help keep me safe online? The truth is, Micorofts built-in anti virus security is good, the

From the moment I laid my hand on my laptop 2 years ago, I knew we had something special between us. The HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh0xxx is one of the best laptops I have ever owned. I have spent hours and hours using it without a hitch, not even a glitch as its always got the "out of the box" experience. This machine came with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB HD and a touch screen which puts the icing on the cake. I wanted something for my work and personal use, however I am now using it to power my IT business and I can honestly say that it has been yet to disappoint me. I have nothing bad to report and I can honestly say that I am super impressed! In my unit, lives me and Hugo, my black cat. He's such a good companion, he wakes me up early and goes to bed sometime after me., He's cuddly, warm on those cold winters days and he is always there for me. Food: I buy chicken mince, dry cat biscuits and give him fresh water daily. He seems to like his diet but when he wants more mince, I know he wants it because he lets me know by meowing and associated behaviours. Bedding: He has a pet bed and always lays on the couch to have a nap. Toiletries: He uses any cat litter and I normally buy what's on special. At the moment he's using pellets and a litter tray liner. I also have some litre deodoriser that helps keep the urine and faeces smell away. He's desexed and regularly goes to the vet for his wormer and nail trim and I personally put on his revolution plus monthly. If you ever think that life is what is what it is right now in the present, think again. Life always throws us a curve ball and this is not to make you feel bad, but to build your resilience and learn to trust God more than trusting ourselves. Building others up by encouraging them rather than bringing them down will not only help them to see their true potential, but it will help you as well. We all say, do and act differently at times when things get tough for us, but lets remember that Jesus said "in your anger, do not sin" - Ephesians 4:29. Lets love others, stay strong and founded in the word but more importantly in Jesus and love ourselves and others with all our hearts. In all you do today, be blessed. - Shane Bentley. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/its-time-to-make-a-change-spiritual/
In life, we need to set limits on what we do. We need to have both personal and professional boundaries. Its actually very important that we establish and apply these (rules of life) everywhere we go. Sometimes I find it really hard as a tech to seperate myself from my work. I have even spent hours at night trying to finish all the dreaded windows updates just so that I can meet my goal of a 24 - 48 hour turnaround. Do you have personal goals that you manipulate your work life around to meet them? It's time to focus on you because someone can replace you (your role) in a workplace within a week but they can't replace you. Four questions to help get you started: - Is work driving how you live at home? - Is work always on your mind even outside of the work place=? - Do you eat fast food just so that you can get back to work? - Do you pull your laptop out at home to check on things and get trapped into doing more work even if your not getting paid for it? Set yourse
