Have you ever felt flustered or drained? Have you ever wanted to relax but cant? Sometimes we need to take a step back, relax and unwind. I need to unwind all the time and I have sensory items that help me to be calmer. It's not only fun to use sensory items, but its very calming and therapeutic. Sometimes I turn all the lights off and just use one of my sensory items and its always a blast of a time. Check out my video. https://youtu.be/PQDx4Td9qPw Head online and buy some sensory items and I guarantee that life will be easier to manage once you quieten and calm your mind. I am saving up for a light projector that points to my ceiling and puts stars on there with colours of all kinds. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/sensory-relaxation/
We all love sitting down and turning the computer on when 34 updates go through and the wait is on... I'm just kidding! But seriously, its a real mood downer and I am here to tell you how to get around those annoying pesky update screens. Tip one: Leave your computer on and enable "restart this PC as soon as possible...." in the windows update advanced screen. However make sure you save your documents and such as it may (I'm just covering me) restart your computer while your in bed waiting for the alarm clock to go to UNI and you lose your document. You can also enable auto save in Microsoft Office but you need to save the file to your computer first otherwise it wont save your work. Tip 2: Pause updates and then once you are ready to do them, just check for updates and let them go through. However: it can be a security risk to not let the updates come in when they need to so do this at your own risk. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/windows-updates
Companion animals: Birds, fish, cats and dogs are all amazing creatures. From companionship to unconditional love which we all deserve, pets really are a mans best friend. From giving treats and meat to maintain a healthy diet, and cuddles as well as grooming and clipping nails, what more can a man or women want! Am I ready for a pet? The answer is maybe. Finding a companion animal is easy, you go to the shelter, pick one out and bring him/ her home. But, do you have the right food, the washing equipment, the treats and toys? There is another factor here also regarding your presence at home with the animal you chose and promised in your heart to love and to play with until he/ she dies... and thats do you plan to stay home as long as you can (obviously work, family and night life excluded) as pets need to feel close and sometimes they will get anxious and stressed which can be called separation anxiety. Lets do our thing and make everyone feel loved including our loved
Dominos Cheesy Crust Pizza Base. I've been ordering Dominos Pizza for over 6 years every 2 weeks and I have nothing but good reviews and I have even raved about the amazing quality on Facebook. The food chain Dominos have been delivering quality products to people for years and years and the fact is, they really are the fast food giants of Pizza. From frozen thick shakes, choc lava shakes and sundaes, they don't just stop there, they even brought out a pizza dessert and it was amazing. (bring it back!!) Now, for the headline product, cheesy crust. Wow, Dominos cheesy crust is absolutely amazing, fresh, cheesy and in my personal opinion, one of the best bases they ever bought out. I get mine from Bomaderry Dominos who are fast, professional and reliable. Dominos is easily the best fast food option for me as they deliver and also you can purchase what you want online and pay using card, PayPal and Apple Pay. A self guide to get you through the hard times. COVID19 is a horrible pandemic that sees many people infected and/ or possibly dying due to lack of knowledge and understanding. At times, many people don't realize they have COVID19 until they develop symptoms and the 14 day isolation is what people must do when they realize they have the illness. Below is a few things you can do during the lockdown period that can be used if you have COVID19 or if you are isolating if you have been near a hot or in mandatory lockdown. 10 things to do during a COVID19 lockdown or isolation. - Do a house tidy-up. - Have a cup of coffee in the sunny spot in your house. - Clean the kids toy room. - Bake a cake (get the ingredient's from a woolies delivery) as its contactless but it costs around $15. - Do some coloring in in an adult coloring book. - Have a chat to a friend on the phone and just relax. - Tidy up your computer by arranging the files into folders. - Go on YouTube and l
Hackers: The internets best friend. This is just a small concept and not all information about hackers and what they do is included. You ever lay down at night to rest/ sleep and you get an email from your favorite website saying "the password you use on this site has been changed" and your like "well thats weird?" This could have been a hacker changing your password and potentially reading your messages, emails, and other sensitive information. Once a hacker has a password that you use frequently, they can get into many websites and such and this is not a good pattern to get So... what can you do? To help limit access by hackers, use 2FA or 2 factor authentication and set it each website that supports 2FA to send a code to your phone or email address. These settings can normally be found in the security settings of the website. I tried to keep it short, comment if you have any questions. Shane Bentley. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/sec
Rock n Roll, jazz, acoustic, and sceamo to name a few are some peoples favorite flavors of mjusic, and all we need to do when our favorite band drops an album is buy it... right? Wrong!!! Have you heard of Apple Music and/ or Spotify? Both apps have most of the music the other does but sometimes not the exact same content due to licensing! Apple music: Free trial of apple music 3 months. At a cost, its the best app I have ever used for music. I like that with Telstra, I don't use data streaming music when on the mobile network. I like that its fast, reliable and has some of the best features out to date. Spotify: Spotify has a free version unlike Apple Music however you get a ton of adds after an hour or less at times. Its robust, easy to use and free and Spotify often has opportunities to get 3 months for 99c. I personally like Apple Music better, however each to their own,. Until next time, have a good weekend, we may speak tomorrow... Shane Bentley. https:/
Dating Scams: So, you found Ms or Mr Right? Well done, im happy for you! But, how do you know who your dream girl or guy really is? Is she/ he after your money or is she/ he after a VISA? Here is one tip to find out if the person is who she/ he says they are or who she/ he isn't. Reverse Image Search: Here is a link to a website where you can upload a picture that your dream girl/ guy sends you and you can see where the picture is posted (all public arenas such as facebook, twitter, google, just to name a few. She/ he may be after some money (normally your whole life savings over the space of 2 to 3 years) She/ he may ask for a low amount at first to gauge your reaction... then she/ he may get more and more demanding and ask for a little bit more next time. See, scammers don't care how long it takes, if they milk you for a few dollars at first, thats a sign that you have more. They will keep going and going until you read this and realize what's happening. Inf
The Devanti Air Fryer 7L LCD Fryers Kitchen Oven Air fryer Oil Free Healthy Cooker is one of the most amazing inventions known to man... in my opinion. With fully adjustable temperature and timer settings and with a simple yet easy to use design, the air fryer is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I received my air fryer 2 days after purchasing it online from mydeal.com.au and after ripping the packaging apart in a fit of enthusiasm, I threw some chicken nuggets and potato gems in the tray and off it went one simple press of a button. The air fryer comes in two different sizes, both black and stainless and the black suits darker bench tops however if you had a stainless steel fridge, i;d probably get the stainless one. Get your Air Fryer today for $119.95 (the price has gone up and it might again) so hurry and buy buy buy! Please share this post with friends and family. The design of this beautiful piece of machinery is spectacular. I am absolutely blown away by the design, look, shape and the specs of and its all in one little box. - 4 Ethernet ports - 1 Lan port - 1 USB 3 socket - 2 phone ports for different types of technology - DSL in connector for use with ADSL & NBN FTTN. My Favourite features is the DUMA OS option available with the game booster addon and the way that it automatically updates itself without requiring user input. If your after an easy modem and you are a telstra customer, please go to the telstra website and check it out, sign up and be amazed with the Telstra experience. Here is a user manual created by a Crowd Support member and its amazing. Have a great day, and remember... hard work never hurt anybody but why take the chance. Even Yoda would be like "WTH is this crap" and run from it. Like the young lady in the video said, "Some days are better than others, but they are just days" and they pass and when we go to bed the nigh t, it's like The Chase on TV... you either win or lose.... or thats what you would assume right? WRONG, "wow, is he saying there is a solution to my anxiety and bad days?" No, what I am saying is that we can try and do little things to help us with our bad days like eat healthy, (even if it's just a piece of toast) it all helps. - Have a cold or hot beverage. - Have something to eat. - Go for a walk. - Phone a friend (even if it's just Lifeline (13 11 14) - Have a sleep. Its not a big list above but it will help you get started. Take some
Things go wrong, people change, people pass, money doesn't last forever and we can either let it bring us down or we can let it shape us into who we are meant to be. As someone who goes through a lot of stuff on a daily basis, I can guarantee you that things in life will go wrong, we may lose our jobs, our family members or friends may die or maybe your being stalked or harassed and you think it won't get better, whatever is going on, its ok to not be ok and it's ok to be a little uncomfortable from time to time. Love is rarely found in someone else when we don't love ourselves and when we love who we are, we can healthily love others. But, about the heading "It is what it is" when things get rough, we we feel down, when we lose hope, look at a pet or something that means something to you and say out loud, "I am thankful to be me" Looking in the mirror is something I personally hate doing because sometimes I feel ugly, but I have to be brave
Id firstly like to honour and show respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and to acknowledge that the Australian land was, is and will always be theirs. NAIDOC week is a beautiful time of year. We celebrate together the wonderful achievements, history and culture of our Aboriginal people. NAIDOC Week 2021 From now until the 11th of July, lets celebrate together and you know what? even after the 11th of July, lets become one with our cultures. It's one thing to celebrate on to a calendar year, but why not celebrate forever together? Otherwise its like going to church on christmas day but forgetting Jesus and what he meant for the rest of the year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-tO9ANeLrk We are One Lets educate ourselves to become more understanding of the issues and problems that our Aboriginal people face and lets stamp out racism and encourage togetherness. Happy NAIDOC week 2021, Shane Bentley. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/naidoc-week-
In life, there are many ups and downs, strong times and weak times happy times and sad times. Self care can really help. I'm going to say something in a minute that will change your life forever... "It's all about you." We have to have the mindset sometimes when things get rough, that it's all about us. Not the mentality of "I am better than everyone" but the mindset that "I matter as well." Do you ever take the time to think about what you need? What you want to do? What do you want to eat? I guess what I am trying to get across is that sometimes a "me" day or week is important. Put in for some time off work if you have it available, and sit in front of the TV and don't worry about work or anyone apart from the immediate family. Self care is so important... I know for me with my mental health issues, I need to take about 6 hours a day just to be kind to myself because If I don't, I can get unwell. Please share w

Attracting native/ wild birds

Birds are naturally attracted to gardens that offer them food, water, and shelter. To attract birds to your garden, start by planting native plants and trees that provide food and shelter for them. You can also install bird baths and bird feeders, and provide nesting materials such as straw, feathers, and string.
Wellness, what is it and why do we need to stay well? According to Google, wellness is the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal."measures of a patient's progress toward wellness" Why do we need to be well? As humans, we rely on wellness to do our jobs, participate in our social circles, and live the best we can. How do we stay well? See this article first before reading on... One of the biggest aspects I have to focus on due to having a mental illness is staying well mentally. For me, sleep hygiene, eating healthy, exercise and medication all have the biggest impacts on me as well as trying to escape from my intrusive thoughts by fact checking and trying to not respond to triggers is hard, but it's possible. I have made a wellness plan (not complete for privacy reasons... see below. Please share with your friends and family... Asking for help

1. Ways to ask for help There are many ways to ask for help. You can ask a friend, family member, or even a professional for help. Asking for help is not always easy, but it is important to remember that you are not alone. There are many people who are willing and able to...
We all have our favorite coffee. Whether it be freshly brewed at a Café you know and love or you make it at home using the instant coffee of your choice, we all know what we love and most of us stick to it. For most of us, many times its the first thing we do as we wake up every day is make a coffee... HINT: Put the milk and coffee in first when you make it and add hot water last, you will thank me later! My personal choice is Nescafe Blend 43... Its smooth, low bitterness and tastes amazing. I don't mind the Nescafe Original (I get mine from Aldi) however I do find it has a slightly more bitter taste. Have a great day and enjoy the weekend coming up. Shane Bentley. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/nescafe/
Online storage is 100% the new age USB device. Absolutely everything can be saved to the cloud like photographs, documents, files and folders, and even movies. Its a great way to store things because it makes it easily accessible to you and you can use the share feature and share things with friends and family like that Christmas "Who brings what" list. Google storage, iCloud storage and OneDrive are my favorite online file storage clouds and there are many more. You can even set your computer to automatically sync from your computer to the cloud and the other way. I do this with OneDrive. Its a good idea to get fast internet enabled at your address such as 50 download and 20 upload or more if you like fast NBN. Why not check out the links above and help secure your data online as well like I did and continue to do. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/cloud-storage-the-new-usb/
When it comes to buying routers, laptops or anything in between, its important to know what you need vs what the staff say you want. Product comparison: Most tech products have a comparison chart (models and a checklist) where you can choose what you need vs what the next model up has. Above, we can see an example of a product comparison. This is my only tip for today regarding product comparison, however if you wanted to give another example or just say hello, feel free to do so by writing comment while your sharing with your friends on social media. Thanks again for your time, Shane Bentley. https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/tech-comparison-purchase-guide/
We protect our credit cards, our passwords and our houses, but how many people protect our computers with quality anti virus programs? Many people don't realize that online protection is imperative as hackers, spyware, and viruses are eagerly waiting to grab your information and sell it, use it to steal your identity and profile you. According to Google, 1 in 4 Australians have been a victim of identity fraud whilst 164 cybercrime reports are made daily to authorities. This is a huge concern to me and that's why I am writing this article to warn you to do the following things to assist (not ensure that you wont get hacked) but to ensure you have made it harder for people to hack your computer and/ or your identity. Top 6 things to help protect you. - Update your computer with the latest updates and security fixes. - Update the firmware on your modem. - Use antivirus. - I recommend this one. - Update all your apps/ programs. - Never post personal information online
When it comes to buying products online or in store, we all like a bargain, wouldnt you agree? What if I told you that you could get free software to download on your computer every night and all you need to do is activate the program as per the instructions. Giveaway of the day is a free global website where you can just click, extract, install and activate the program and its good to go. No keygens, no viruses... just pure goodness. Its not everyday that someone tells people this secret, so make sure you tell all your friends and loved ones by sharing this blog. No matter what lifestyle we live, no matter how much money we have in our bank accounts, and no matter how old we are, we all need to track and task our day to day lives. Have you ever been out at a coffee shop with a friend and your chatting away and you get a phone call saying "This is Nelly from ABC Hairdressers, you had a 10am appointment and your late, would you like to reschedule? I have been in the above situation countless times and I know first hand the embarrassment when you attend your rescheduled appointment knowing that they know who you are and how they know someone else could have taken your place. There are a few options to talk about. - If you have an iPhone, set up calendar and enable it to sync with Outlook so that no matter what you do on your computer, you will have all your important information to stay up to date. - There is also a calendar on Android phones which can also sync with Outlook. - There is also Google Calendar which is what I personall
A company with a kind and compassionate heart. It takes great courage as someone with disabilities to contact a customer service line and ask for help. Many people hate the ques and the explaining of what's happening. HP have gone above and beyond to help with any problem I faced with hardware failure and I can honestly say after my 3rd HP product purchase that I will never ever buy or recommend a different brand.HP Customer service have gone above and beyond again and again to repair issues and have even had techs as part of the "HP Care package come to my house and fix the issue within 4 - 5 days. I can honestly say that HP are amazing, friendly and very very helpful with any IT need in relation to their products. Once again, enjoy your day. Shane Bentley. - Keeping Safe online - The NDIS and me! https://www.onpointcomputerrepairs.com.au/hp-customer-service-australia/
There have been many critics regarding the NDIS, both from a professional and participant point of view, and after all arguments considered, I can say that the NDIS is a great scheme to be a part of.  I have been on the NDIS for several years and I know both the heart ache that gathering the paperwork and doctor's reports requires but also the joy of receiving the “Welcome to the NDIS” official letter.  Once I started working with service providers and working on my goals, my life began to change in a big way. I began to have a reason to wake up, a reason to live and a reason to look to further hobbies and my pushing my business and saturate myself in it whilst enjoying life.  I can honestly say that life has never been better and yes, I still have a difficult day most every day, I can still get up and say hello to my cat and my bird and have that fresh coffee whilst planning my day.  If you have a disability and it keeps you from accessing the help you need, apply for the
Most of us have heard about Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. In fact, according to stats, 3.6 billion people use social media across the globe. I personally use it for running my business and chatting with friends and family, however everyone uses it for different things on a personalized level. What is I told you that there are some dark sides of social media/ What if I told you that social media can be used by online predators, scammers, lonely men or women wanting to use and abuse another or bullying? Bullying is what I wanted to talk about today. I know that many people graduate high school and do not see or are not the targets of bullying (lucky them) but, the fact is that many kids are bullied and even into their adulthood. I was one of the ones that look different, suffered low self-esteem and didn’t have many friends. I was bullied every single day at school from K-12 and never ever had a day where I felt comfortable in my own skin. What bullies do not understand is, t
